Position Summary and Responsibilities

Industrial Computed Tomography (CT) Technician

Work Description:

  • Generates two-dimensional digital radiographic (2D DR) and three-dimensional computed tomography (3D CT) images of products for visual and metrological inspection without disassembly
  • Supports failure analysis/investigation using 2D DR and 3D CT processes to identify defects internal failures and flaws within a scanned object
  • Performs measurements used for determining size, relative position and clearances between individual features and assembled parts
  • Performs various inspections including part-to-CAD comparisons, part-to-part comparisons, assembly and defect analysis, void and volume analyses, wall thickness analysis, and CAD data generation in the form of STL files
  • Generates data that can be used for reverse engineering, 3D printing, CNC machining, geometric dimensioning and tolerance analysis, and inspection of production parts

Citizenship Requirements
Due to classified work at the facility and related access restrictions, successful applicants must maintain U.S. Citizenship to allow the person to hold a U.S. Government security clearance.

Education & Experience:


  • High school diploma required; Bachelor?s degree desired
  • 2-3 or more years of relevant experience in industrial 2D DR and 3D CT imaging
  • Understanding of the physics involved in x-ray generation and image detection
  • Understanding of image acquisition and image reconstruction software
  • Demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted radiation safety practices
  • Metallographic lab experience in metallographic specimen preparation and analysis? preferred
  • Ability to perform calculations using mathematical formulas
  • Demonstrates attention to detail
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
