Manager, Internal Controls

Element Fleet Management is seeking a Manager, Internal Controls to join our Finance Control team. The Manager, Internal Controls, will act as the overall owner of the global Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) working to support management's assessment over controls.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Primary liaison between Internal Audit and Finance Department, coordinating internal audit procedures, walkthroughs, etc.
Coordinate monthly account reconciliation meetings, ensuring compliance with policy, preparing meeting minutes and ensuring open items are addressed timely and appropriately.
Assists in all internal control requirements and testing.
Participates in and provides support to external auditors for quarterly reviews, year-end audits, agreed upon procedures, and internal control audits.
People Leadership: Hires, develops, and directs team members to maximize individual and team performance. Ensures performance objectives of team members are aligned with the goals of the organization. Measures performance effectiveness, and provides feedback and coaching to team members in support of development and future career goals.
Other duties as assigned, including special projects.
BA/BS degree in business, accounting, finance or related field of study. CPA required.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and prior management experience.
Experience with financial instruments and related transactions (leasing, derivatives, etc.), and Financial Reporting.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook). Strong proficiency in Excel. Accounting and reporting systems.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
