Manager, Human Resources (HRBP)

The Manager, Human Resources (HRBP) is a trusted partner, progressive thinker, and strategist to business leaders for all HR matters. As an HRBP, you'll align North American HR programs with business strategy and relevant employment laws and regulations. You'll also work with leaders to effectively design their organization and optimize talent, and advise, coach, and support leaders to maximize performance, effectively lead change, encourage teamwork, and engage and develop talent. Additional responsibilities include:
Identify needs, develop solutions - engaging HR COE teams as appropriate - and implement plans in support of key business needs in a dynamic, changing environment
Influence enterprise HR program design (performance management, compensation planning, engagement strategies, and key talent processes such as talent reviews and succession planning, etc.) and lead the implementation of these programs with business leaders and HR COE leaders.
Consult with leaders to ensure alignment of performance management with pay-for-performance recommendations and reward and recognition programs.
Act as advocate and advisor to employees and leaders regarding career and leadership development
Develop investigation plans, conduct complex investigations, make recommendations, and oversee the implementation of decisions that lead to the fair and consistent resolution of issues and complaints.
Manage complex ER matters, including performance management, terminations, restructuring, accommodation requests, workplace drug/alcohol/violence matters, conflict resolution, etc.
Work with legal counsel to ensure compliance with applicable US federal, state and local employment laws and regulations, as well as Canadian employment laws and regulations
Develop and implement comprehensive staffing plans for the organization and proactively partner with Talent Acquisition team on strategies to attract top talent.
Lead HR projects and support integration activities and other M&A related responsibilities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Business, HR, or a related discipline.
7+ years relevant experience in Human Resources, including experience in organization design, talent assessment and development, leadership coaching, change management, recruitment, job and compensation program design, employee relations, and managing complex/sensitive workplace investigations.
Strong working knowledge of US federal and state employment laws and regulations and the ability to appropriately identify employment/labor law issues. Knowledge of Canadian employment laws and regulations is desired.
Exceptional judgment and decision-making skills, especially in situations that are sensitive, complex and/or ambiguous
Strong business orientation
Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, and the ability to educate, influence and indirectly lead a large range of individuals across multiple HR and business functions
Proven success establishing collaborative relationships with individuals at all levels and in all parts of the organization
Demonstrated ability to drive the HR strategic agenda using knowledge of the organization and its employees
Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Change agent and role model for leading cultural change.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze data, understand trends and develop recommendations for action
Strong time management, project management and prioritization skills, with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects/matters to closure
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of UltiPro HRIS system a plus
Must be willing to travel approx. 25% of the time

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
