Supplier Development Manager

Global medical / instrumentation manufacturer seeks a Supplier Development Manager for their expanding corporate group.
Manager will work with cross-functional teams and Global Category Managers, to create and execute strategies and projects with domestic / global suppliers to drive significant performance improvements.
The Supplier Development Manager personally leads commercial and quality systems assessments of key New Company suppliers, with particular focus on identification and quantification of opportunities for joint improvement activities.
Will work with business units, sites on the execution of agreed Continuous Improvement programs, and helps influence business units around resource allocation and project deliverable s.
Will work with Procurement, Quality, and Ops stakeholders to develop a Supplier Development approach (which suppliers, what improvements, timeline, resources).
Driving to Zero Defects/Continuous Improvement:
Drive performance improvement efforts with Key/Strategic suppliers (quality, yield, Lean, service) in all areas.
Promoting the use of Statistical Process Controls and continuous improvement techniques at suppliers to help reduce variability and achieve process control.
Require as BS degree in Management, Logistics, or Engineering, advanced degree preferred, combined with minimum 5 years high-level analytical work in a supplier improvement position, experience in purchasing and/or quality assurance a definite plus.
Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and validation activities; philosophy, concepts, and tools of Quality Management / Engineering, with training and experience in Six Sigma Transactional Process Design / Improvement Methodology preferred.
Should have excellent communication / interpersonal skills combined with the ability of interfacing effectively to promote continuous improvement.

Salary to $135,000 with 15% bonus opportunity.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
