Automotive Technician

Fidelity Building Services Group is looking for an Automotive Technician to join our Fleet Team in Sparks, MD.
You will be responsible for properly repairing, maintaining, and inspecting company vehicles.
In addition, we are looking for someone who can help teach their strengths to the team but is also willing to learn.

Inspecting and testing vehicles, completing preventive maintenance such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, and replacing filters.

Maintains vehicle is in functional condition and verifies vehicle serviceability.
Testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards to make sure they follow state vehicle requirements.
Maintaining vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing and painting (when required.

Maintains vehicle records by recording service and repairs.

Keeping shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.

Contains costs by using a warranty, and evaluating service and parts options.

Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
